Anarchism....does it work?
As a crude experiment, I'm considering setting up a forum where everybody who signs up is an administrator.
I demand predictions and/or discussions of predictions. I personally think the place will be a paradise -- ppl can't mess with each other without being destroyed, nobody will be banned, and jerks who keep posting dirty and evil pictures will never go away....
Oh and is my experiment flawed? Is it not Anarchism if people have god-like powers? What's up?
You can't make them all admins because the first one to figure you they can de-admin everyone(possible?) will do it when no one else is around and take total control.
Maybe just a bunch of regular members with no powers at all.

Anarchism is not feasible over long periods of time. Human organization stems from our need to have structure. So even though everyone at you're little board has seemingly equal powers, someone is going to have phpMyAdmin access, thus making them the true King and God of your board.
You either get a more fair system like democracy through hard work, or you can sit back, pretend everyone's equal and wait for a tyrant to rule with an iron fist. Personally I like democracy because there's less chance you'll be crushed by said iron fist.

I don't think your MB will even survive its opening stages where only your friends know about it and come register. Let alone if it were ever to become popular enough so that the general public was aware of it. The chance of having one person out there who wants to destroy your MB is pretty much 100%, and it only takes one person. I hope you aren't going to host your MB on the same server as any other files you value, because admin priviledges on most MBs open a person up to doing a whole lot of damage.

We already had a forum where everyone was an admin. It was called COMRADE and was based on Soviet Russia or something. It got used for a day then everyone forgot about it. Misfit tried to de-admin me *hates* :o
