    Default FFIII Starting party

I'm starting a new game of FFIII on NES. Anybody got any good suggestions for a party to start with. Please not, I MUST have at least one Monk.

Fighter, Monk, Red Mage, White Mage. Works just dandy for me, and I don't have to change anybody's class until I get the Knight and Thief.

Fighter, Monk, White Mage, Red Mage is a good and balanced party, and you'll have 3 attackers and 2 healers in the beginning. Red Mage's Wight Slayer is also very useful against the undead in early spoilerJinn's cave. However, as you progress further in the game, Red Mage becomes less useful all the time. When that happen, you should change him into a Black Mage. I usually change Red Mage to Black Mage around the times when you have to go through dungeons wearing the Mini status since you'll really need attack magic on those parts.

You are thinking of the wrong game. FFIII NES does have a Monk, and they are pretty good.
For your party, it depends on how you like to play your game. I usually use two fighters, BM, WM.

Sucks that you can't get it on PlayStation. Our overseas neighbors have all the luck.

Based off our personalities and likes/dislikes we made THIS FF3 party at tkaa. At tkaa we are the leninist party hoping that Foos gains control of the forum as at that forum you vote for a new admin every month. (If he wins I will be unbanned as I said, we are a party. I was pretty much the weapons minister. ) NOTE: These are intended for FUN. I doubt they'd make for an average, must less EASY gaming expeirence..

    Harvest Moon/Blackmage.

    "I rule you."
Though you'll have people debate it till the end of time.. having Ebil in the party can offer nothing but bennefit. Equip with "Ultimate" rod to freeze the bastards that would oppose you in place and as far as spells go, just go lit, ice, fire3 and meato. This is maxium offenssive officentcy.

    Foos/Bard.

"I hate Titch.. so very much.."
Foos is a spoony bard lolz 0mGz t3h 5uCk0rZ!! Okay here's what you do, pray to Bahamut you find a Lamia or Dream lamp, use it to nerf the opponents then buff your other team members constantly. If this stradegy don't work you can ATTEMPT to scare the opponent. But it is highly unlikely..

    Lilacsoup/Sage.

    "Hubba Hubba"
Inorder to get the full lilac feel you'll have to teach your sage Ifrit, Bio, and Confuse. This is a very well balanced magister with something for every situation. Too bad the HP sucks and the MP is poor compared to speacialty mages..

    Sanitysbane/Monk.

"Why do I hang with you losers?"
The only physichal powerhouse of your party. Equip him with claws (They're all good..) and let the fists fly! Though the spell selection lacks healing and all other participants are weaker then school children.. the sheer amount of smackdown you should be unleashing via magick/karate style martial arts should smite anything before it becomes a liable threat.. Should being the key word..

OR, you could go the complete oppisite and choose the imperileast force. *Hiss!*

    Titch007.

"There is no Franc.. He's just a myth I swear.."
Titch, the guy everyone but me seems to hate with a passion. Equip with Yoichi bow and medusa arrows for max-effect. With some white magic he can heal to while remaining safely in the back row..

    Linky Dragonclaw/Thief.

    "Sacla-blue!"
Titch'es evil girlfriend. The roguish FRENCH Canadian pirate who "forgets" to bathe..
Though you may be tempted to give her airknife cause it deals more damage, give her orialcon instead. drain is a much better spell-like effect then aero. Especialy considering the thief's otherwise weak HP..

    War/Scholar.

    "i @m t3h w@r-t3cH r3iNc@n@t311"
There's not much stradegy to the chicken-weakling scholar. Equip with books, use scan. That's it..

    Believe/Beserker.

    "*Censord*"
Pretty standard here, equip with tomahawk and hack away. It's like a fighter that has add. Less chances of success but more overall damage.

Heh, I notice both parties lack white-magic. Gos to show you were pots calling kettles black when it comes to who's the goodguys.
