I wouldn't use VB to make any games. It's just not all that great.

Although I wouldn't try searching for certain things about VB, I would try just learning it all together and getting the logic of the syntax's down pat. Once you have the logic of it, you can pretty much work out anything in it; but as I said, I found it very limited in terms of power and ability.

Edit: If you really don't want to get deep into programming (which I admit is the most boring thing you could do with a computer) then I suggest getting a hold of RPG Maker 2003 or RPG Maker XP. You'll find you'd have more fun with it.
