The wrath of Ken Jennings is over!

    Jennings has lost.

I'm actually watching the game as I type, but I found the story first.

    Ken Looses

I personally like the guy, but he his winning was getting old...

I watched Ken for his first 30 or so wins, but then stopped watching because it got boring. When it was in the paper that he lost today, I taped it and watched it about an hour and a half ago. Ken didn't look comfortable up on the stand, but that final Jeopardy question that Ken gave left something to be desired.

I made a thread about this back in September, I think, back when it was taped. It was just aired today, is all.

Still, the guy had a hell of a run.

As someone who has seen every single one of Ken's performances from day one, I must say I am deeply disheartened by his loss. I knew it couldn't go on forever, but I was hoping he'd get to 100.
Ken Jennings is the man. He showed the world that you could be a nerd, and still be successful and popular.

He'll be back for the tournament of champions next year. I look forward to him sweeping those three games and taking home another 250,000. Ken is a legacy. He almost doubled the all time record for most performances on a game show, and almost beat the all time winnings by half a million dollars. Maybe the all time winning will be broken, but the Jeopardy records as well as the sheer number of appearances will never be broken. Gameshows will die out before it happens.

To hell with Battletoads and Double Dragon.
    THIS is the ultimate team.

I think he lost months ago, but now he almost has enough to own a 1 bedroom apartment in Los Angeles!

You have to remember, it wasn't until a few years ago that Jeopardy! allowed winners to stay past 5 days. Once someone went 5 days, it was it, they couldn't come back on the show unless it was a special promotion. Ken Jennings is to be admired, but there are probably 20 guys/girls like him in the past that never had the chance that KJ had. He's only taking advantage of the no limit rule, something previous winners never had the luxury of. So while I admire him, there were plenty of people in the past who could easily wipe the floor with him.

The producers probably thought it was better to quit whilst they were ahead, just so nobody copuld suspect that they were, uhm...you know...

That blind guy, Ernie was it? He could have given Ken a run for his money, I bet.
