Just a quick question: are these awards won by the members who actually deserve them, or are they given out to the most popular members who don't actually do anything? (I'm not being serious, honest!)

A bit of both, really. If you're not popular at all (or just unfortunate enough to be overlooked) then you won't win anything, but you won't see popular guys taking awards they don't deserve. The Best Poet/Artist awards, for example, are always won by talented people, and the Best Spammer Awards by the least talented.

Don't worry about being overlooked in the future. I have a feeling you'll be a strong contender for Best Newbie next summer.

Like a re-run of the last one, 'cept with less Abom and Trumpet Thief, and more Yama "He was a sk8er boi she said seeya l8er boi, he wasn't good enough for her" neko. And from word that I've heard on the grapevine, Loony BoB - last time's winner - is not doing well in this one! That's right! Apparently there are a lot of people who are voting him for Best Member and Psychotic for Best Male. Oh hell, I just wanna talk about ME! In June 2003, I was nominated for this award with 2 nominations, no idea who they came from but I'd love to know so I can hug them. My first and only nomination (Well...until December). I remember in #eoff I was trying to make Gau...NOW MATTY PIE! vote for me, and he claimed he didn't know me. Oh Matty... I still bear the emotional wounds today!
