Apparently, I have been declared banished.
Just emphasising one of pr00t's points, predictions can be made, however people shouldn't base their votes on other people's predictions - even some of my pre-Ciddies predictions have been obbliterated by people I never would have guessed to make the finals let alone lead in them.
However, thanks pr00t, I'm loving the commentary!
One thing I will say is that, so far, MLT Be Hobbes is by far the closest fight - between all eight finalists, every one of them within two votes of each other!

<Award_Guy> Hoo. It's been a massive first 24 hours, that's for sure... they're going well, though. The largest winning margin is something like 12 votes, and that's not much really. I usually consider 12 votes to be the point that a person can be considered a winner, but I'm not so sure.

<Award_Guy> There's always a late surge - well, around ten sets in the last day, and then of course I usually have up to ten tie-breakers used to finalise a few close calls.
<Chris_DeBurg> I heard a rumor that sometimes the people who make the tie breaking decisions are banned members, and if thats so might Hooters get an honerable mention this year?
<Award_Guy> I never narrow the ties down, I always keep every finalist open just in case five or so finalists all happen to vote for someone who was, say, four votes behind - everyone always keeps their chance until the final minute.
<Award_Guy> It's true that banned members are often used for tie-breaking. However, I tend to be very careful in those situations so as to not include the person that banned them. It all depnds on the reason they were banned, though.
<Chris_DeBurg> So, now for the big question, do you think any records are going to be broken this year?
<Award_Guy> I'd like to note that the Ciddies are in no way financed by the EoFF Forums Staff, so they have no say in who can and can't be involved. That's down to the Ciddies committee.

<Award_Guy> I don't know... 87 members is a record I think will be very difficult to break. We've had 42 already but it's still a big ask. We're more likely to see the record for most votes get passed as 3400+ has been reached twice already.

<Award_Guy> I don't give any chocolates away. BoB eats them. He's very greedy. That guy eats like there's no tomorrow. Did you know his parents used to call him the garbage disposal? And to think as a kid he would spend an hour at the table before he'd finish his dinner, too. Funny how people change their eating habits as they hit their teens. Oh well.
