    Default Book V. Film

I was thinking about writing a kinda fantasy story and i was wondering which would be best for it; a movie or a book? i mean i'd like to write a book but some of the action sequences would look better on a film what does every one think?

Well...you could write a book, then adapt it into a screenplay. But that would be double the work, in a way....Action sequences can be done pretty well in books, too though. So I'd say go for writing a book. *shrug*

Fantasy is a ridiculously tough market to get in. There's so many fantasy books pourng in every minute it isn't even funny. Well, it's a little funny. Because you could be the next Tolkein and your chances of getting your name out with a fantasy book are still tossed into a billion author lottery.

I voted for book because I don't know how to kick off a career with a movie. Generally, good movies come from books and the book is better than the good movie anyway.

But with the new trend of geekdom in moderen pop culture, a movie might be a much better way to capitalize on a fantasy story than a book which might just get lost in the zillions of pages of fantasy scribbled down every day.

well, im thinking more from the point of view of which medium would be best to convey the story, not which would make the most money

You should write the book. Then make the movie if the book sells well. ^^
