    Default The Shield Law

This law in question is a special law in many states, known as "The Shield Law", which protects reporters from having to give up their sources if questioned in order to keep the journalist - source contract in order, which is very much the same as the confidentiality agreement which protects Priests, Rabbis and Doctors.

When do you think the "Shield Law" should apply? When should it be waved? How do you feel about this story?

    Take care all.

my question is "why hasn't Bob Novak been charged with anything?" He's the one who knowingly and intentionally announced the identity of an undercover CIA agent is his newspaper column.

I think I wouldn't give up the info unless absolutely forced by the government, in which case I would say ok, especially since the slimeball who leaked this isn't really worth protecting if I have to go to jail.

Indeed, this does reek of politics, unfortunately.

    Take care all.
