Anyone found anything else neat? In Elfiem, there's a grave that says 'Here Lies Link', but I believe that's old news.

If any reference to burnination had been present in FF I'd have known about it a long time ago. Either this sheer coincidence of bad translation or a true homage. I'm guessing it's the former.

Actually the Dawn of Souls translation is not bad at all, it was obviously re-done just for the GBA and I'm guessing the burnination was on purpose. The translation crew probably just had a sense of humor. It's pretty rare to find someone who doesn't know about Homestar these days...
I'm waiting for one of the networks to consult HSR to make a cartoon series for them.
Since Hellfire Cavern is optional and mostly randomly generated, it is likely that someone added that in as an easter egg.

Anyway, I should have grabbed another just now. In Whisperwind Cove, there's a floor with robots, and one needs help. When you help it, the other says "Thank you very much for doing the jobs nobody wants to." which is a line from Styx's Mr. Roboto.
