I need help with a chocobo problem please

I'm having a bit of trouble catching chocobos. I've recently started chapter five and I decided to do some chocobo hunting. I fought battles in Kilika Woods and the Calm Lands and over a period of about one hour I ran into about fifteen chocobos. Every single chocobo ran away. I am not exaggerating!
I have not had this problem in other chapters and I am curious if the reason is because I am in chapter five and square wanted to make it a bit harder to catch chocobos. Has anyone else had this problem or know how I can overcome it???

Yeah, I've helped Clasko and I have the Chocobo Ranch.

you have to through greens if I remember correctly, I am thinking the most expensive ones and you should have fast charicters in your party, like a thief. kill the enimies fast and that should work.

i don't think chpt 5 should be any harder for catching chocobo's, don't think i had a problem anyway. just throw your gysahl greens as soon as you see the chocobo, kill the fiends, more gysahl greens and voila. one oversized budgie for clasko!
