i think its necessary consederin there is possibly goin to be many final fantasies and u cant hav all of them the same and look alike...this one seems 2 involve more "fantasy" in them so i liked how they did it that way...they made it to the point that its fantasy/fiction/fairy tale theme but not very childish

You do have agood point, but i really think that it does make the game feel weird. I mean what the hell is Queen Branhe meant to be?
Isn't that what fantasy is all about? It is to me anyway. At least more than boring humans and guns and cars and *grumbles more about FFVIII* And Queen Brahne...well..she's just meant to be...ugly. Hehe.

I liked the animal creatures, i thought they made a fun change.
well, there were fairies in FFI, unpredicted meteor crashes from another planet in FFV, a whole world being sent to chaos in FFVI, why cant there be animal people in FFIX?
