Thanks, guys.
I fell off a chair when it skidded underneath me while changing a light bulb, of all possible ways. Oh, and it's not a cast, it's a freakin' tight bandage type thing kind of like an elastic glove, and putting it on is a nightmare - I can only use one hand and it's as 'wide' as my wrist, so it cramps up my fingers a lot. The break is in the ring finger bone that goes through the palm area of your hand, and that means moving my fingers (any on that hand) can hurt as the ligaments move the bone. I have to take it off every night, so... ow.
I can't have a cast as my hand needs to be able to readjust itself, apparently. I can still use my thumb, index and middle finger for slight movement, though, so I can pick up light objects and crap. The doctor reckons the bandage/finger strapping can come off in three weeks, and I should fully heal in six weeks. I thought hand bones healed faster than that, but oh well.
It takes forever to make posts though. >=/ Expect poor grammar and short posts fairly often over the next few days/weeks.
