    Default Bye bye Olympiacos!!!!

I was on the most turbulent emotional rollercoaster watching the Liverpool v Olympiacos game yesterday. When we let that stupid free kick go through our wall, already having had a perfectly good goal disallowed I really didn't think it was going to be out night. Then when sweetest Florent Sinama-Pongolle found the net early on in the 2nd a glimmer of hope was sparked inside of me creating much drunken shouting at the pub's tv screen. Then Gerrard had a perfectly good goal disallowed for some imaginary infringement by Milan Baros, the referee suffered from being really cack. I thought no way are we going to find two goals in 20 minutes. And then magic Mellor with his first touch put us ahead. My friend and turned to eachother and I said "if we win this 3-1 I'm going on a massive bender, you up for it." He was. And then Steven "Superman" Gerrard, what a fantastic goal that truly was, made all the sweeter because we dumped the whining, diving, cheating Greek side out of the tournament.

I am now very hungover and may possibly need a liver transplant.

Well done Liverpool! I like to see all the English do well in Europe (except Arsenal, who I hate).
England is the only country with 4 clubs in the knockout stages, pretty impressive.

    Just one thing.
I find it annoying how Arsenal, who played poorly in all their games (except from Tuesday night) can qualify, top of their group...with 10 points.
Dynamo Kiev and Olympiakos had 10 points and go out.

I really enjoyed this..I'm Panathinaikos-fatal rival with Olympiacos-and i was pretty happy that Olympiacos finally went out..
you should see the newspapers who support Olympiacos today..they're pretty funny saying that it was just "Bad luck" and "Liverpool performed very poorly but God was with them".. ..yeah right..

Ha, that's so typical. Liverpool were awesome, Olympiacos barely had a sight of goal.

Tomamar04 in fairness Arsenal are unbeaten in the Champions League, they may have been less than impressive in a couple of games but they did enough to get through.

Yeah, and whenever Arsenal are mentioned, I think of Neil Mellor's goal

I warned you about that. Be quiet or I'll unleash my mystery weapon...let's call it Tichael Mhomas for now.
