I just recently noticed that there was a another place in the calm lands. It's near the north west area and an old lady's guarding it. She won't let you in though... I'm very curious to find what's there.
I believe you are talking about the place where you get Tidus's celestial weapon. The get that person (I thought it was a guy) to move out of the way, you must beat the Chocobo Trainer in the fourth challenge. The guard will move by the Chocobo Trainer, impressed with your abilities, and you can go get his weapon. You need the Celestial Mirror though.
