    Click http://www.getfirefox.com/
    Dowload software.
    Install and Run.
    If it asks something about Default Browser, say Yes.
    Cookies should be enabled by default, but you can always double-check in Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies (Assuming it's not changed between v0.8 and v1).

    -_-

    Internet Options => Privacy

    Set it to medium or something. Or if you actually know what you are doing, hit advanced to mess with the cookies settings

    If they actually knew what they were doing, they wouldn't be in IE in the first place

    It's a good thing you didn't introduce them to linux. I have yet to install any distro on my computer:

    - Gentoo was scary to set up -- many steps just didn't work
    - Lycoris set up properly, but doesn't reboot (so I have to reinstall it every reboot)
    - Knoppix STD sets up properly but doesn't detect the network card. I might be able to salvage it if I pre-downloaded the 'installation files' of a ps400e or something mobo.

    I'm not touching redhat :)

    Redhat has the easiest installation out of all the distros I've tried, point and click a few times then sit back
