Who the hell would do such a thing? Cut open a pregnant woman and pull out the fetus. (good thing the fetus lived). I hope this lady dies in prison or gets the death penalty.

Although I agree that what this woman did was wrong, I think the death penalty is a tad bit too much for her, as it is with anyone else. I personally don't even UNDERSTAND how something like this can happen. please excuse my bluntness, but what the was going through her head? Insanity is the only explanation. Believe it or not though, this has happened before. I heard about a case identical to this a few years ago, and another one that just happened within the last month or so somewhere in Africa, I believe it was. It's mind boggling to say the least.

What is worse, a quick (albeit) painful death or wasting away in solitary confinement for the rest of one's natural life? Life in prison is by no means an act of mercy.

Oh, thats a great idea. If that will really satisfy you, I would encourage you to watch such a scene, and I'd like to know if you would enjoy it. Or better yet, do it yourself.

Seriously, I can't understand how people can seriously wish their own state to stoop to things like that. I believe death penalty to be murder, in a legal way and crap, but still murder. You are basically getting someone who can't defend himself and killing him. Now, you may say the person may deserve it, but I really don't think someone, under rational circumstances, can pretend to judge over the life or death of someone. I can't see how death penalty can be compatible with democracy.

I belive in the death penalilty, but only in extremes, I belive when someone commits a crime that robs others or tries to rob others of there lives the only suiting punishment is to have yours taken away. When you try to kill another person you give up your human rights in my view, you dont deserve them. Im a huge fan of helping the victim not the criminal in which alot of legal systems seem to do, so wheel of execution!
