    Easiest game ever!

Okay, so I beat Chrono Cross a while back, and I thought I'd just share this helpful hint with everyone and see how many of you knew it already. I put spoiler tags around it for people who don't want to ruin the game's challenge. You could just not use it, but I don't want anyone mad at me for telling them something they could learn on their own.

(SPOILER)You can run from any battle in the game!

Not that helpful, huh? But it is! Try it when you're almost dead and you'll see its usefulness.

So, anyways, who actually knew that? And uh... I guess discuss it and then go off on insane tangents completely unrelated to the thread's topic or probably even Crono Chross, if you feel like it.

I've yet to play CC, but from the opinions I've heard, it's not as good as Trigger.

Would you say it's better or worse than CT challenge-wise?

CT was an easy game, up until the final boss I never died once (I was attacking the wrong thing the first time). Which is why the New Game+ option makes the game fun, allowing you to get all the endings and try it with different combinations of people (try it with just Crono and Marle, I imagine that's a barrel of laughs).

CT was still a great game though, challenge aside, with great music, characters and visuals for the most part, and I enjoy it more than I have most RPG's I've played.

Challenge wise I would say CC is harder than CT but that is because I am not an upgrade whore in RPGs. I usually get by with what I find and in CC there is not enough to find to get by that way.

Because of the huge amount of characters there's a distinct lack of pwninating skills. None of the elemental skills are that powerful. Saying that CC is still very easy. The only time I ran was to get a steal against certain bosses. Only died on a few occasions when I didn't setup my elements right.

Even though CC is easy, I still think it is harder than CT. I had NO trouble playing CT at all.

CC is realitivly easy.......if your on your 5th or 6th time through. Come on admit it, the first time you did some of the dragon battles or the time you had to fight Lynx you had trouble but yet got through. What makes CC hard is getting all the characters and just trying to watch every possible ending.

With the elimination of experience levels, no one can be an upgrade whore in Chrono Cross.

I agree with most everyone else - CC isn't hard, but it's more difficult than Chrono Trigger, which was a breeze. As for how good it is, I like it. Quite a bit, actually. Chrono Trigger is my favorite RPG, but as long as I don't feel obligated to compare every aspect of the sequel to it's predecessor, I can really have a good time with CC.

Sometimes it can be pretty hard killing the last boss by yourself to see that alternate ending. He has a pattern that if you watch closely you will learn and if you cast a certain element of spell he'll react with a certain spell that is dependent on where he's at in his cycle. It took quite a while to figure out and was Uber hard.

That can be a pain in the ass. It wouldn't have been difficult if it just entailed casting the spells in order, but you have to survive building up your tech levels, then casting all of the required spells in order without the boss interrupting your actions.

I only bothered doing it once, and I guess I was lucky, because it wasn't as terribly frustrating as I imagined it would be.
