Pirates are great! You chop their arm off, the get a hook, you chop their leg off, they find a stick, you kill em and they come back as a ghost pirate. They drink lots of Rum too. What do Ninjas do, NOTHING!

Ninjas employ this little thing I like to call "skill". A Ninja trains for much of their life and is thus a well-equipped killing machine.
A pirate sits around and drinks a lot, until attacking a massive imperial ship sounds like a good idea.
Ninja hands down.
But a parate would shoot a ninja guns > all other weapons. And Pirates have cannons. I wanna see a ninja take on a pirate ship

A ninja is adaptable, and the introduction of firearms into a ninja's repetoire would make it all the more easier for them to kill people.
