and another thing that bugs me about this game is the fact that OMEGA WEAPON and ULTIMA WEAPON are normal battles i mean what the hell??? weapons are supposed to be the kick ass creatures of Final Fantasys

This is actually 1 of the things that REALLY pissed me off about this game! I find it OFFENDING!!!

You started this thread complaining about the main characters being girls, why are you going on about the Omega and Ultima Weapons?? If that's what you wanted to complain about, then why didn't you start a thread on the weapons being kak.

He never got off topic. The tread is about whenever FFX2 is crapp or not. And compared to the other FFs it is nothing but crap. However... it had some fun parts like Via Infinito etc. But there's much I hate about this game.
Overrall it's a pretty average and enjoyable game... but it's nothing but crap compared to FFX.

These aspects are better in FFX: Story, music and the lack of giggling.
These are better in FFX-2: Less Tidus, far better battle system and character developement system (talking about the jobs now).

The battle system in FFX is much, much better in my opinion. I hate the battle system in FFX2... it's just chaos!
To tell the truth I think EVERYTHING was better in FFX.

where do i begin who honestly likes girl power sorry but this game was the worst ever final fantasy ever!! the story line took about 5 minutes to complete and who cares about extra missions in the chapters. There were only three characters on the entire game rikku was a good character in 10 but now she needs to dump some hormones and calm down yuna from a cool summoner to filthy prozy on 10-2 what has happend to square was it the name change or what? square soft to square enix whats up with that?

The music was so cheesy on this game i could not believe it i thought they got a porn director to compose it i mean they got rid of the classic celebration theme tune of final fantasy HOW CAN you get rid of that its sacred!!!!!. So as you can see i really HATE this game with a PASSION i really loved final fantasy 10 and i thought there was no need for a sequel to a classic game it shows that they have failed this time.

first off, PLEASE learn proper grammar and use punctuation when needed. x.x Your sentences ramble and it's a pain to read.

Next point, what exactly is wrong with girl power? Shall we all just bow down to the will of men and be housewifes all over again? >.>

Finally, the game was OPTIONAL to play. No one took a gun to your head and said: "BUY THIS OR I'LL SHOOT!" If you didn't like it, pretend you never played it and convince yourself that the story ended where X10 left off. The music sounded NOTHING like porn music, it's a magical musical genre called Pop, and Jazz. I understand it's not everyone's cup of tea, but deal with it.

BTW, I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure that Square Soft became Square Enix because two gaming companies merged to form one. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I truely see no other reason for them to change the name.

Further more, if you didn't like the game, why waste your time playing it, or ranting about it? Spend some time buying FF1 and 2 for GBA, conquering them, and then sit in a corner and rot while waiting for FF12 to come out. ^-^ That's what I'd do.

I did enjoy the battles, it was a nice change from the 'strategic' battles of FFX. I found the in-battle comments amusing too. The 'New Game Plus' was a feature that I was glad to see, although that was as much because of a similar ability in another game, rather than what it added to the game itself. Sure, there were more than a few painful moments, and it isn't really a game that a guy can play in view of others (my hentai flatmate was making a few too many comments for my liking!), but overall I liked the game.

I agree the 10 series was so dire, but alot of people who hate it dont come to the ff10 fourms, so you wont get much backup, and you have to uunderstand alot of ff10 fans are new and only started playing after 8 or 10 may well be there first final fantasy, 10 was so bad its a crime against humanity. Square Enix better churn out something good soon. What annoyed me was the change in target buyers and the move to rpg/action, curse those fiends.

i agree with both sides on different topics. I'm a girl, but still, i HATE a lot of the girly nonsense that happens in the game. I'm not a huge fan of the battle system, but i like the jobs system. i really like a lot of the npc's such as baralai, nooj, and gippal. their stories were good in conjunction with the whole (SPOILER)vegnagun/shuyin/lenne thang. the music was meh. the mini games... meh. it was an average run of the mill game. X was by far superior, as most "part one" games are. however, bear in mind that the main reason this game was thrown together so fast and so sloppily IMHO was because there was a HUGE uproar by die-hard FF fans that were unable to play FF11. I am a truely die hard fan of final fantasy, but i have no internet at home, and really no patience to spend so much and go thru so much hassle for one game..sorry. i realize that's no one else's problem, but it is mine, and many others' as well, and it pissed us off. This is why, my friends, Square-Enix threw out FFX-2. same reason why Resident Evil Survivor is poisoning the title's fans... something had to be done to quelch the anger of those opposed to Resident Evil games going to every other gaming platform out there except PS2. I mean, i did go so far as to buy two other entire gaming systems just to get Res Evil games (GameCube and Dreamcast), so I know desperation for a new game, and have willingly succumbed. but what they were asking for to play FF11 was just beyond ridiculous and stupid. so, although the game was not without it's good parts, it was obviously tossed together like a "please shut up and play this until we finish up FF12" salad.

Well i have FFX-2,but to be honostly i don't play it as much as my other Final Fantasies..this has nothing to do witht he story or that you only have 3 characters..i am all fine with that,it's just i really don't like the fight system of FFX-2,i rather had the normal FF one..now,it feels like have to rapidly press buttons to make quick attack or else it will take forever to kill something..
Except for that the game is fine with me..
