Try eBay. I'm sure you can find something that resembles them there. If not, suprise your friend by making him a pair out of motorbike gloves and a saucepan.

There isn't.
Square sells some jewelery, figureines, and other knick-knacks, but that's about it. People who want to dress up as the characters either make the costumes themselves or pay others to do so.
I'd say you rbest bet it to modify some batting gloves or something.
The clothes that are made just to look intentionally like FFVIII or any FF merchandise 9/10 times looks really tacky. The coolest thing you could find is gloves that look coincidentally like Zells. Thats my advice on finding any clothes that look like FF.
