Thread: A Question On Legacy

    Default A Question On Legacy

    http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slu...v=ap&type=lgns

After reading this, I wondered why this columnist and many, many, many like him seemed to praise Reggie White for his faith and for being a good person, yet made no mention of his infamous speeches that demonized gays or bashed races of people, using racial slurs during speeches and the like. Did they forgot, or were they just ommitted?

After someone passes away, should their legacy be all the good they've done and none of the mistakes, or should both be weighed equally before an appropriate legacy is created?

    Take care all.

I think they should use both. All people have good and bad sides, that makes them human, and that should show.

I think when someone dies people tend to just focus on the good. Whether this is right or not, I don't know.

I wonder if when Ron Artest passes the writers will say 'he was one of the best on the court and off'.

Here's a great column that puts some of the pieces together.

    Take care all.
