MP3's the standard. OGG is superior, AAC is inferior, but MP3 is what everyone uses and everything supports.
I continue to use MP3 because my MuVo does not support OGG.
I either stick with MP3 or WMA, usually WMA's simply because they can be of a similar sound quality to MP3's but be a fraction of the size. Oh and copy protection can only be added by Windows Media Player to WMA's if you tick an option in the Tools Menu (Although I think it comes pre-ticked those dirty microsoft pig-dogs)
