Drums take an amazing amount of talent to play (if you want to play them well). Listen to some early stuff from The Who. No one but Keith Moon could have played that stuff.
How does it take more talent to play acoustic guitar than it takes to play electric guitar? Both instruments are limited to certain sounds that they can produce. And both instruments are limited in terms of what company of other instruments they can be played with.
I agree that singing and lyrics come after music, but adding a piano to a song doesn't redeem it from being garbage.
I agree that rappers are talented at speaking quickly, but they aren't poets.
