why didnt Tidus... (maybe possible spoilers if u havent completed the game)

i just beat 10 again and sumthing came into my head, when yuna said "i love you" to tidus, why didnt he say it back?

do ur eckon it might have been because

a. he didnt want to spoil the moment
b. he didnt think he needed to say it
or
c. he doesnt actually love her.

i know this is pretty pointless, i just wanna know ure thoughts on this.

I personally think it was because he didn't think there was anything he could do about it, and just felt it better not to make it even harder. like when you set your mind to do something, if you veer any way offcourse it makes like a train derailing.

a friend of mine thinks he did it to be mean. *shrugs*

i reckon it wud have been nice if he had said it, but the ending was nice how it was.

what i mean is, he was gunna dissapear even if he didnt do the theatrical dive off the airship.

but i reckon him putting his arms around her was his way of showing it.

I don't think it needed to be said - this is Tidus' story, and we, as well as the rest of the party, are aware of his feelings towards Yuna from the begining. The question was whether or not Yuna returned those feelings. Her final confession to him of, "I love you," was her admitting that she did, indeed, return those feelings. Tidus didn't need to reconfirm he still liked her - it would have wrecked the moment.

Yuna could easily say "i love you" to his face but her first action is to run and hug him...but she couldn't do that...so she said those words as her next resort

Tidus, instead of saying it back, imitates her and gives here the hug she wasn't able to get...I thought it meant the same thing as I Love You back

Both showed action first then words and yeah, obvious they have feelings for each other....lol....one of those "awwww" moments on FFX

I don't think he needed to say "I love you" back to Yuna. It's so obvious that they both love each other very much and I guess words can't describe how they feel about each other. That scene was soooooooooooooo adorably romantic with a hint of sadness, unfortunately! You just can't help but smile and cry at the same time....

I say it because he wanted his last moment before dissolving to be the memory of that lovely i love you from his lady, then that he finally no he was loved he can rest in peace, the hole thing neerly btroght a tear to my eye

I'd say he may be going....funny, but I seen the way he eyeballed not only Yuna, but also Lulu, Rikku, the nuns, and those female Chocobo knights. He may just be a freak, or a player who don't wanna hurt no one's feelings, or both.

everyone know tidus had a thing for yuna the way he tred to warm up to the others was to find out about his feelings for yuna and in x-2 he apperas in the farplane which means he might have ceased to be a dream and fell into the farplane and died but who knows
