I've only skimmed through the last 20 or 30 posts, but I just have to say some things:
My step-brother is a marine. He just got back on leave after being stationed over in Iraq. While he was over there, he was right in it; he saw some battle and some of his comrades were killed. So basically, he knows what he's talking about.
He explained to me that at first, the Iraqis loved them, for the most part. They were thankful we went over there.
More recently, they're getting sick of us being over there, but so am I, quite frankly.
Oh yes, because Saddam Hussein is well known as a reasonable man who would listen to negotiations. Right up there with, lessee, Stalin and Hitler.I wouldnt have started war and would have tried to negotiate at least a little more.I dont think proper effort was put in negotiating before the war.
All of your "evidence" is related to Iraq and recent events, completely ignoring the vast, overwhelming majority of US History. No, I don't like Bush and a lot of things he's done, but he's not the US. If you made a "Bush sucks" thread, I would probably agree with you. However, making outrageous claims like "the US government is the worst in the world" just makes you look ridiculous and immature.
