I personally prefer Aeris, although I do think Cloud and Tifa are a good couple as well. I was just wondering something though...how does (SPOILER)Aeris' Death make a difference in whether the couple is valid or not? I see this argument a lot and I was just wondering.
I'm just going to say that I think that Cloud & Aerith are better... I'm not going to start another LT debate...

I prefer Tifa, I liked her character far more than Aeris. Aeris, well, Aeris annoyed me more than a little, and I don't think she was all that suited to Cloud. The fact that she's (SPOILER)dead certainly hurts things too.

Tifa. She was Cloud's lifelong friend, they actually KNEW each other, she cared about him a lot. He hardly knew Aeris. I can't think of any good reason why he'd be better with her.

Aeris, without a doubt. I love her to death. Coincidentally, since she's dead, he'd have to go to Tifa. ^.^ Unless in AC they find a way to miraculously bring her back. I would cry for joy and anger at the same time. XD

What FS said. Aeris (Aerith?) is dead, and while it's all possible, if not probable, that she comes back in dirge of cerberus (as has been hinted at in EGM) I don't think they will be getting together after the tender moment Cloud and Tifa had together on the rocks. (those of you who played the game all the way through know what I'm talking about)
tifa is so much better she is cool, quite, and loves cloud oh and NOT DEAD!
