Zack is in a flashback. Aerith should have returned to the planet by now, maybe she has and Cloud is having a simple dream. But if Aerith is delayed in returning to the planet, what would give Cloud the same delay in order to be with her? She's an Ancient, but he's just the same as Zack, so how could they be together in death?
