Best gaming finds

What were your best gaming finds..could be finding games or game merchandise/whatever. (eg. bargains or maybe just really hard to find stuff that you came across.)

One of mine was when I went down to the new game shop that opened in town, after going there a few times already, and they had just got BOTH toejam and earl games in, which I had wanted for a while for my megadrive but hadn't seen anywhere ^_^ And they were selling them pretty cheap too, about £2 each. Plus they both had boxes and the second had the manual too. Which was pretty cool, and the boxes were in good condition. I was really happy then. =)

Also when I picked up the FFVII strategy guide at a car boot sale for I think it was £1 or £1.50. It was a bit rough round the edges but not too bad. Also I found IX's strategy guide really cheap in a shop.

I really like finding old PS1-era games that I'd always wanted to play but never did back when they were new and easily accessible. Star Ocean: The Second Story, Mega Man Legends, Ape Escape, Tenchu, Jumping Flash! 2, Mega Man X4, X5, Einhänder, Threads of Fate, Vagrant Story, etc.

I saw Mario Kart: Double Dash on ebay once for a mere 0.99p. And it stayed that price till the end too!

My best i would say is when i walked into a shop and saw Fallout 2 for around £8, and i adored the original - so very happily i marched up to the counter, only to be told that the sticker was old and it cost £3! Good times

I used to go to a market where you could get copied playstation games for 3 quid per cd too. That got some frequent visits. Almost got mugged there once as well - go me!

I found mint used copy of Einhänder in Gamestop for $11 dollars.

I found my NES copy of FF1 in a pawn shop for $5. My strategy guide for it came from a thrift store for a few dollars

Both saga frontiers, Einhänder, Threads of Fate, Lunar Silver Star Story, FFT. I dunno I have lots of square games I've picked up over the years at the local gamestop.
