The only item you have to get from Blitzball is two or three AP Eggs (Double AP) but these aren't necessary if you've mastered all the DS. I found them very useful for mastering Alchemist, Berserker, Songstress and Mascot.

It is possible to change the camera mode to 'Visual' so you see the players, but then each match will last five minutes. If you want to compromise then select 'Default'. This will give you the arrow-mode when the players are just passing the ball about, but will change to 'Visual' mode when someone shoots or something "exciting" happens.
