The best episodes are where they build the Great Wall of China and where Cartman buys a theme park
South park owns all!!! lol, it's got so many classic lines in it. it's one of those shows where in the middle of a conversation, you can toss out a random cartman line and it's immediately picked up on, no matter who you're talking to.
Personal favorite character has to be Butters though, he cracks me up. And the episode where cartman joins the special olympics? offensive to the tenth degree, but it was freaking funny! "Whats your disabillity little boy? hmmm?" "guuuuhuuruth I'm Retarded guuurthhhiirityn.." classic...
Best character is Jimmy by far. Hes so funny. Si is towlie but hes only in 2 episodes which are Towlie and Osama Bin farty Pants
Cartman is a work of art.
I agree, it can be a bit tasteless and crude at times , but the rest of the time a great satire - loved " Korn and the Groovy Pirate Ghost Mystery ", and that one where Cartman and co. are role-playing as LOTR characters , running around South Park with Stan's parents porn video.

I didn't think "Not Without My Anus" was that bad. Mostly because it was aired instead of the episode where they revealed the identity of Cartman's dad, which pissed people off and made me laugh.
The only episodes I really didn't like were "Butt Out" and "The Passion of the Jew." The former is the anti-anti-smoking one, which I found annoying. I mean, they can be anti-anti-smoking, but I thought having the factory workers all happy and singing and anyone who doesn't like smoking as a total icky jerk was annoying. And Mel Gibson in the later was annoying.
I like all the other episodes though. Its my boyfriend's favorite show, so we watch it... every single day.
