Haha, yeah, Austin Powers had some awesome scenes about the henchmen and their tragic deaths. xD

But yeah, many Hollywood movies tend to have superhero kind of guys who can wipe out an army all by themselves (Rambo etc.) and all that cliché stuff. Luckily there are other kind of action movies as well that don't have the usual setting as mentioned in the first post of this thread. The problem with many action movies is that the final battle between the hero and villain is usually way too short (2-3 minutes or so). If you're going to beat the main bad guy, it should be done with an epic feeling and you should feel that this is it, the final battle. I still haven't seen a movie that has a brilliant final battle; so far the best ones have only been decent.
