Nibelheim Mansion Glich (or something)

I've played around with this several times, but only after I've done everything and all that is left is to go to the Northern Crater.

Go to the room in Nibelheim Mansion that has the enterance into the spiral stairs thing and go to the bed and examine around the nightstand or corner. This makes a weird sound and makes cloud turn towards a different direction.

If anyone has any idea what this is please post a reply.

I think it had something to do with finding one of the digits for the safe

That's not a glitch, it's a creaky floorboard. As pieckey has said, it's part of a clue to one of the numbers for the safe. A few steps from the creaky board, there's a number written on the floor.
