Are you here for a good time, not a long time?

Here's a question to what appears to me as a large population of new people on this forum.

Are you really going to stay for a long period of time and get involved with the forum or are you just going to be here for a small bit of time, viewing from the sidelines, and then stop coming after a month?

(PS: It'd be really nice if you all became productive members, instead of a burden on our society )

i wouldn't call people who don't stay for a long time a burden. They may answer every question we have i 1 month then leave (unlikely but i'm just trying to get my point through.). Anyway, i agree that it would be nice for more long term members. But it's tough to start out, you feel intimidated and it's hard to figure out what to write. But newbie threads are major helps and everyone here is nice as.

I'm going to come here for four+ years, and then get myself banned from eoeo temporarily for being an idiot, and still hang around anyway.

Same as Nicky, except I'll get handed a moderator job instead of being banned, and my idiocy is not temporary.

I suppose that all depends. Upon what factors, I have no idea.

I don't do anything else online besides games so I'll be on here as long as I have the internet or the sites still up.

I'll stay until the place gets boring. But I'll never make an "I'm leaving forever" statement.

I usually frequent two or three forums at a time, with one being my "home forum", so to speak. If the place gets slow and no longer provides enjoyment for me, I wont come as often. I won't abandon it; I'll just check it less and less until it picks up again, in which case I'll visit more often. My last home forum is incredibly slow right now in comparison to what it used to be like, and it's only a fraction as fun. If I'm modding at a forum when I find myself coming less and less, I'll resign from my position, if I don't think I visit often enough to be a responsible mod.

This is quite an active board, however, and I don't see it slowing down dramatically, or myself leaving.
