I like power metal IN SMALL DOSES. Too much at one time can get sickening.
Blind Guardian is talented, probably one of the best.
Iced Earth is good too, even though they suck now.
Manowar is hilarious.
OH MY GOD! Dragonforce is THE best band. Herman Li is an insane guitarist. And their song "Valley of the Damned" was totally the theme song to my freshman year of college. Anytime we did something, that song was involved. So good. This year it's Europe's "The Final Countdown," which Children of Bodom actually covered and made even more awesome.
I always considered Children of Bodom cheesy black metal. Nonetheless, I love them.
I love power metal too, Blind Guardian being the best, I'm obsessed with Imaginations from the other Side at the moment. Hammerfall is awesome too, I loved their entire One Crimson Night album.
