i keep getting massacred by Jenova LIFE at the end of disc one anyone care to help? what levels should my party be?

You should have a Water Ring by the time you reach Jenova Life. Equip that and (most of) her attacks can't harm you. Also, you can do a Leviathan+Elemental materia combo to halve/nullify (depending on the Elemental materia's level) her attacks. Err, wait... I can't remember if you can get Leviathan in disc one. I think you can.
As for levels, um, 30ish?

Cloud: HP 1585 MP 274. Lv 32 Yoshiyuki. Aurora Armelt and Powerwrist

Barret: HP 1028 MP 215 Lv 26 Enemy launcher dragon armelt and fairy ring

Tifa: HP 1011 MP 199 level 26 Platinum fist and gigas armlet

i done it with Cloud level 38 and guess what she was too dumb to keep using blue flame on me you can lock this thread now if you like or keep it open for other ppl stuck on the freak
