I usually go to bed anywhere between 11:30 and 1:30, and my alarm clock wakes me up at a little before 5:00 A.M. every morning (it's set for 5, but it's intentionally 15 minutes fast).

I do this by choice for a couple of reasons.

1) I can't sleep too much - I'll never get up. It's genetic, too. My mom used to get 3-4 hours of sleep during her high school years, and she felt great. That gave her plenty of energy. I'm the same way. I've attempted to get 8 full hours of sleep three times this year, and all three times I couldn't get myself out of bed. My body only needs a few hours of sleep, and even today, my mom (who works at 5 in the morning) only gets around four or five hours a sleep a night, and it's sufficient for her. I get up very easily on a few hours of rest, and I have enough energy to make it through the day and stay up late. If I get too much sleep, I'm just going to continue sleeping.

2) I don't like to rush myself in the morning. I don't have to be to school until about 8:20, and I like to have a few hours in the morning to be able to do the things that need to be done in the morning. I can take my time in the shower, and not have to hurry to get ready. Then I can relax for a few hours (or get on the computer).
