Best Cid?

One Cid rules the best. And that is the Cid from VII. I will always remember the sentence he said:
"Sit down and drink your Godd@mn coffee" (if I am correct)

It was actually tea, not coffee. But close enough, and still a great quote. :grinpink:
Hmmm, I guess my favorite Cid would be the one from VII. (I feel so unoriginal.) However, he was a pretty freaking awesome Cid, even though he did run a bit strangely.

Cid Highwind was the best Cid - in VII he was a actually a developed character, rather than just a background presence who repairs airships.

On a slight tangent - What is it with so many of the Cids being involved with airships? I never really thought about it before, but they were all related to the airships in the FF games I've completed:

FF5 - Cid repairs the airship for the party
FF7 - Cid's an airship pilot
FF8 - Cid tells the party how to transform Garden into an "airship"
FF9 - Cid builds Hilda Guarde
FFX - Cid salvages Al Bhed airship

interesting. I haven't finnished FF4 or 6 so I don't know if the pattern stands in those as well. . .

I voted for FF4's cid, because he had zero votes, and I believe him to be entirely deserving of at least one.

If I were being fair, however, I would have voted for FF7 Cid. Maybe. Or maybe I would have voted for FF4's Cid.

Cid Highwind of course. Smokes, drinks, swears, (probably) beats up his housekeeper...he's the kind of hero I can look up to. No where near perfect, certainly not the little whinning runt that Cloud is, and damned funny as well.

Dude, thunder god rules them all. However, I must admit that FFIV cid won me over with lines like "Oh boy! Getting cozy!" during some hot sprite on sprite action between cecil and rosa.

Thunder God Cid, or Orlandu, as many know him by from Final Fantasy Tactics. While Cid Highwind is hilarious, the T.G. Cid is just too powerful.
