I liked Beatrix, mainly cause she's hot, but also because of Climhazzard and Stock Break.
She has the best damn theme ever (Sword of Doubt).

I personally think that they both have the ability to win, it just depends on how well they fough, I mean as you see in the game, Beatrix's powerful when against her, but when in your party, she doesn't really get classed as "The best". Throughout the game the player, is the one that gains the characters their skills and IMHO if it came down to these 2 fighting, I'd say it depends on what skills they have, what level they are on and how the battle is set out. No one can tell for sure who'd win and there's really no way of finding out is there :P, but still opinions are great. hehe

Freya. Beatrix rocks, but Freya can simply jump high and spear her ass, then finish her off with Dragon Crest. That and she's my favorite Final Fantasy girl :<3: :<3: :<3:
