It all depends on who strikes first.
Meaning who has the best speed... and abilities etc.
though Dragons crest damages 9999 and ignores defences, shock also does 9999.
Dragons crest may be better in the case that Freya is at a disadvantage.
But in this battle it is an =.

because Beatrix wont bother casting status effects she will just use her best move.
Which narrows back to speed who strikes first wins...

FREYA as she is WAY stronger than Beatrix on Disc Four...i love her great character with great story! Although, Beatrix is one of the top unplayable (from the whole game) character in any ff most likely.

The game makes it fairly obvious that Beatrix would win.
If you had Beatrix from the very beginning, she might be stronger than Freya on Disc 4, but she's a temporary character, and I love every second when she was in my team.
Personally, I'd go for Beatrix. Mainly, I prefer swords over lances. Both have excellent skills.
I guess it all depends on which part of the game it's at.
Beatrix would probably win because she can cure herself AND use devastating attacks.
But then again Freya might win since Beatrix probably has a depth perception problem

Beatrix would beat frya in a straight fight no macic jump etc. but would cloud beat beatirx and frya hell yeah meteor rain.

All right, let's assume the following:
1) Go with Beatrix when she was in your party only. When you're against her, she is programmed to defeat you no matter what. Freija would be just as deadly if put in that role.
2) Assume Freija and Beatrix are at similar levels, but have all of their Action and Support abilities and their best equipment.
3) Completely ignore Shock and Dragon's Crest, since as mentioned it becomes "whoever goes first automatically wins". They might as well just run a foot race to see who's faster. :rolleyes2
That said, I'm not sure who would win. Freija could use Lancer to damage Beatrix's HP and MP (preventing some of her better spells), and could jump to avoid a devastating attack. Also, Freija can use Reis' Wind to cast Regen on herself (which works while in midair). However, Beatrix can counter with stronger physical attacks and White Magic (assuming she has the MP) to heal herself. Neither would be strong enough without Dragon's Crest and Shock to kill the other in one hit, but a two-hit kill may be possible for Beatrix. It really all depends on their tactics, since it could go either way.
(SPOILER)Personally, I favor Freija. Beatrix, while cool, was something of a let-down when I controlled her, compared to when she was programmed to automatically kick my ass. Not that she wasn't very useful, of course.
EDIT: In a looks contest, it's Beatrix all the way, one eye or no. :joey:
