Each Final Fantasy to come out has evolved from its predecessor (With the exception of IX for obvious reasons) and has featured innovative areas of battle which is unlike the last. So, the next Final Fantasy takes the last Final Fantasy and grows on that. I sincerely doubt they'll bring back the ATB system, and if they do it would be extremely different than what we're used to. (Like X-2 for instance.)

I mean, you even saw what happened when Square tried to go back to their roots and make FFIX classical, a lot of people rebelled against it. To answer your question though, no I don't feel the same.
