FinalFantasy Meets Transformers

Two of my favorite things. Transformers and Final Fantasy. But do they go well together? I would say no.

why not. Even if you dont want the classic Giant Robots of G1, you have them animal size in Beastwars or even Technoganic animals in Beastmachines. BW/BM is ideal considering they would be relitively the same size as FF characters but far more powerful.

Damn the country i live in...they never bought Beast Machines to tv and i was sooo pissed! Ever since the end of Beast Wars ive been wanting more of it (cause lets face it, beast wars roked). I looked for downloads of BM, downloaded and watched like, 9 of them. then the site i was downloading from decided to not let me download anymore and i never got to see the last however many it was.....sigh. Oh well perhaps one day i will see them.........

I live in the UK and they never brought BM over here either. However, i bought the whole two serise on two CD's (hussh). It isnt as good as BW but it's certainly Top Transformer stuff. The CD's play on PC, i use a free download of realplayer

I have an idea. What about just making a transformers based RPG, and screw calling it Final Fantasy?

A TF RPG (role playing Game), theres plenty of them run all over the internet, not to mention video games etc. Perhaps i belive the TF franchise is bigger and more abundant then FF.

I just like the idea of combineing FF and TF

I mean proper games, not just silly, fan made games. If there are lots of Transformers RPGs, how come I haven't heard of a single one? D:

I wouldnt let the people on Transfandom let them hear you calling them silly, they are dedicated in an obscene way to TF, investing thousands of pounds and then living out their dreams in detail.
However theres a great PS2 game where you can be Prime, redalert or hotshot, i belive theres DD RPG's out there like the ancient Ninja turtle ones.

Seriously though, you can't just bring up all sorts of fan made games when I suggest an officially made game. I doubt any of those dedictated fans have nearly as much resources as a professional game development team.

so you took no notice of me talking about real games then. Also transfandom is one of the largest TF sites out there and has some of the closest ties to hasbro. If your not interested in checking it out it's no skin off my nose. BUT it's because of those same "silly" fans staing dedicated throughout their teens that Transformers is the ressurected and powerful franchise it is today. Many fan made comics are now considerd canon amongst the TF community becuase they bridged the void and were helped by the original hands that crafted the transformers.

Yes, I've seen a Transformers game in shops here, but it's not an RPG, is it? (No pun intended, I don't know.) The word "silly" wasn't meant to be taken literally either.
I understand that there may very well be many fan made comics, I read fan made manga too, so yeah. But a game is a *bit* more difficult to make than a comic.
I think I should inform you that I'm not *that* interested in Transformers either, it's just a bit interesting.

What I'm trying to say, is that FF meets TF? Sure, imo that would mean using a more epic way of telling the story, adding RPG elements etc. That's fine with me.
What annoys me is the impression i get from the posts in this thread. It sounds like it's FF battling against Transformers or TF with FF characters, trademark items etc., that's what I find silly.

well certain Videogames, while not as clear cut as FF do still feel like RPG's, however, there were RPG's LONG before computers even existed. I know hundreds of people who have been playing RPG's for years and they arent interested in anything roleplaying to do with computers or consoles. There were rulebooks and guides produced in the 80's for the Ninja turtles and im sure i remember some for TF.

The classic interpretation of a "cross-over" is something VS something. However Transformers has had a long history of competant and deep crossovers. Of course the Decepticons/vehicons/destrons/predacons are gonna side with whoevers evil, and the Autobots are gonna side with the good guys. But countless times even in their own continuitys Both sides of the transformers have found themselves tarred with the same brush. In Beastmachines it wasnt even good VS bad but rather a war of ideologies and moralitys.

Transformers has also been told, and sold over many mediums, toys, comics, models, animation, movies etc, the same way FF has been branching out of late. Whats being discussed here is the cool ideas and things that "could" happen. What FF forms would the TF's have to take when they are reformatted. What would happen when certain FF characters mix with the TF's. For example, Machines are frowned upon in FF10, but they are embraced in FF8. thats going to cause differnt problems for both sides. What about seeing a Giant Combiner like Devastator being taken out by Shiva or Odin.

It would be ultimate to have a final summon of the constructicons forming Devastator and then unlesh a mayhem of shots from his cannon upon the enemy.....i think it would even put Ark and Eden to shame

Unicron devours the Black materia from FF7 and it makes him even more powerful, a Transforming Summon. Only the Power of the Matrix-Gunblade can stop him lol
