well certain Videogames, while not as clear cut as FF do still feel like RPG's, however, there were RPG's LONG before computers even existed. I know hundreds of people who have been playing RPG's for years and they arent interested in anything roleplaying to do with computers or consoles. There were rulebooks and guides produced in the 80's for the Ninja turtles and im sure i remember some for TF.

The classic interpretation of a "cross-over" is something VS something. However Transformers has had a long history of competant and deep crossovers. Of course the Decepticons/vehicons/destrons/predacons are gonna side with whoevers evil, and the Autobots are gonna side with the good guys. But countless times even in their own continuitys Both sides of the transformers have found themselves tarred with the same brush. In Beastmachines it wasnt even good VS bad but rather a war of ideologies and moralitys.

Transformers has also been told, and sold over many mediums, toys, comics, models, animation, movies etc, the same way FF has been branching out of late. Whats being discussed here is the cool ideas and things that "could" happen. What FF forms would the TF's have to take when they are reformatted. What would happen when certain FF characters mix with the TF's. For example, Machines are frowned upon in FF10, but they are embraced in FF8. thats going to cause differnt problems for both sides. What about seeing a Giant Combiner like Devastator being taken out by Shiva or Odin.
