Try zone of the enders the 2nd runner from the creative team behind metal gear solid 2:sons of liberty. Its the best mech game ever and has a great vs. mode plus the levels are fun and can be hard.
I'd definitely advise you to purchase the PSOne version of Final Fantasy 1.
Why? Because it's better than any of those silly PS2 games.

Yeah, and the Gamecube Remake. But not 3 because being English, Konami doesn't want me to play it till March.
Someone lent me Star Wars Battlefront recently, and on the odd occasion my PS2 actually loads it up, it's pretty damn fun.

That must of took long time to write that. No one has mentioned this but ICO is a game which is worthy of one of the best games ever. Really touched my heart as well
Have you played this game? I've downloaded a few in-game movies and screenshots and it does look like a very good RPG. I was thinking of buying it if and/when it comes out here.

DMC 3 comes out beginnig of March and Xenosaga is also good. (Episode II comes out in three days!!)

Oh I forgot Ico! Yes I have played YS VI: Ark of Napishtim I have a demo of it its pretty solid I'll buy it. And the 'sequel' to Ico (its sort of a sequel) called Wanda and the Collossus or something like that keep an eye on it. It looks awesome, literally and um non-literally. Yes it did take awhile.
