FFXI on dialup?

Im contiplating on purchasing FFXI because i just got a new laptop decked out with everything fast as hell lots of memory, the works anyway im still stuck on this stupid dialup and i wonder if its even worth my money to buy it or am i gonna lag too much and not want to play?

lol i wouldnt eva play ffxi on dial up LAG ..newayz u havta pay to play later which i think is stupid go save up for ffxii or sumfin else...pizza

I played FFXI on 56K Dialup during beta, and its fine except for Jeuno lag where everyone lags or the beginning phases of zoning in. Its not that bad, was pretty smooth. The game caps you on 56K, therefore me and you(me on cable), are going at a similar rate of speed.

Yeah, 56k doesn't matter much. Having a better computer matters more.
