I think they need to do a Xenogears sequel.

Seeing the huge interest in Xenogears, I think Square Enix should make a sequel to Xenogears. But maybe they should back up a little in time so we aren't so lost. I mean, there's obviously a lot of backstory to Xenogears that we don't know. Did the creator write a book about Xenogears and then cut out the middle of book to share?

Yes, a sequel would rock! And it could be named XG-2, like FFX-2, which is the best RPG ever made...until the next, better looking one comes out, that is.

And maybe they could make a couple of remakes for the PSP. And maybe even some cellphone games and stuff. Because I like playing the same game over and over.

Elly did a pretty good job of not wearing clothes in the original too, though.

It's kind of like a spiritual prequel... I guess. I mean, they're less connected than, say, the Suikodens, but more so than the Soul Blazer "trilogy," if that makes sense.

chaos: There will be a sequel to Xenogears, as it will be included in the Xenosaga series. Xenosaga parts I-IV will be the prequel, then Part V will be Xenogears, and part VI will be the sequel.

It was stated around the time Episode I came out that its continuity was created to be separate from Xenogears. In fact, Episode I and Episode II of Xenosaga don't seem to match up at all to what Episode I and II are supposed to be in the Xenogears backstory. So, Xenosaga Episode V will probably not even resemble the events of Xenogears.

Xenogears Episode I ended with the Eldridge crash, and Episode II was about Abel, so... no, it doesn't fit at all.

What I've heard is that there will be three episodes to 'saga, at which point they'll release 'gears Episode I as a sequel to 'saga Episode III.

(SPOILER)after you defeated deus, and the zohar left that planet, the gears and ether would stop working also the story would be pointless because there would be no conflict in the sequel. What I would like to do is play as Lacan and Krelian and those dudes back in the day.
