    Once ... last night. (boo-ya)

As for VIII ... about 4-5 times I think.

    This game is clearly overplayed.

I made it to the Crater w/o beating it probably 3 times. Let's see, I think I've played through getting everything about. . .3 more times at least.

I was playing FFVIII for about the 3rd time all the way through since I haven't played it in a while, but it kept crashing near the end of the first disc First time I played, I played up to Adel.

I've played FFIX around 3 times.

Not sure on exact # since I didn't keep all my saves.

I've seen the endings a lot more.

    FFI: once.
    FFII: fraction
    FFIII: fraction
    FFIV: once
FFV: two fractions (starting playing on two occasions, but put it down before I beat it) +1 (played all the way through once)
    FFVI: 2ce
    FFX: fraction

Um, only twice. And I'm sick of honest work, so I'm getting a gameshark and slaughtering everything with my infinite cheated power

You said it... I mean... 40 times!? Seriously!?

Well, I've played trough it 3 times (if I remember correctly). Twice normally and once with solo character, no materia and start equipment only. As for just beating sephiroth... I think I've done that about 12 times.

Well, it's been out for 8 years. You can pick up any game again after a while if you start thinking about it, and you haven't played it for like six months. After 8 years, I wouldn't hold it against people if they've played it like 8 times through. If this thread was made in 1998, playing it 8 times would not be very sane, but this thread was made in 2005, so 8 times is sane today.

    I think you mean

305 Those Chosen by the Planet

The one that starts out with DONG bang bang for a bit, then a sequence of 3 chords? That's that one. These chord sequences also appear in 402 Weapon Raid and 415 The Birth of God (Bizzaro Sephiroth), as well as 416 One Winged Angel.

It's interesting One Winged Angel counts as a psf. Liberi Fatali was a choir and orchestra and stuff, but it's not in the ff8 psf library on zophar.net .

Once. I never felt the need to play it again at that time. And I was kind of depressed because I fell in love with that game.

Sorry, KR. I need to get into the habit of PMing instead of being lazy and posting on here.

Yeah, BF. Play it again after like six months when your memory of the game starts getting cloudy (no pun intended), and you need to be reminded why you love the game. The elusive story is one thing that brings me back over and over again as I forget its fine details. Also, for example, I'm in college now, and I'm in love with a new girl, so I wanted to play with her as Tifa since I hadn't done that before. Another thing that brings me back to any game I liked is that I'm more mature than I once was, so I'll be better at it. I'll have developed new strategies and stuff, or I'll want to play it differently.

You all should also dust off your old SNES games, especially the ones you couldn't beat when you were a kid. It's a beautiful experience, remembering those thoughts and feelings that you've forgotten for many years. I don't believe in leaving old games on the shelf forever, especially if the system seems to last 20 years. Hopefully, Sony will keep coming out with systems with backward compatibility as their crappy lasers wear out, or they make a PS# whose laser has as much warranty as a cartridge system. I always want FFVII available to play.
