It's possible, but you'll have to place the word you want to censor out alone in {}
Like... take dog.
if you put dog, it'll censor out dog:
dog =
doghouse =house
put {dog}, it'll only censor dog by itself.
dog =
doghouse = doghouse
of course, when you place the s-word in {} that leaves some words out in open that can be considered foul, such asty,
head, (though who'll use
head anyways?) dog
, etc....
Of course, it's not that bad a word as the f-word. :P
of course, I don't have a problem with it. It forces me and others to use creative substitutes.
Shame it's INCORRECT. If you're gonna split it, at least split it between syllables correctly, e.g. Yoshi'taka. Even then, it looks messyOriginally Posted by Behold the Void
In any case, I have no idea who added shit to the swear filter either, so in such a case, we blame Shlup![]()
The censor will not prevent anyone who really wants to swear from swearing. It does, however, help catch the occasional slipup; or in edczxcvbnm's case, it catches quite a lot.

Yes, we speak Californian here.
I suppose that might make the "Who's the hottest FF girl" threads more interesting, as people have to start describing the characters instead of naming themOriginally Posted by Loony BoB

Huh? Why bother? Yoshitaka Amano. See? No filter.Originally Posted by Behold the Void
And considering the response to a certain LJ entry of mine, this might get some further discussion.
Looking forward to that. I may even work it into that stand-up comedy routine I was thinking of putting together (but haven't been drunk enough to start)
The simpliest way to get around the filter is just put "<>/>" between the word.
Yosh<>/>itaka --> Yosh>itaka.
Is </> even valid HTML?![]()
