I was wondering if anyone had an overview of everything that you need to completly master FFXI. I know that getting to 75 with all jobs is a given, and beating all 3 cities missions and Zilart Missions and Promathia Missions. But I was wondering, whats the best way to get the feel of FFXI? I've been playing for a while. Im only a 19 war who just unlocked a subjob, i gotta LONG way to go. But can someone give me some suggested things to do in FFXI? thanks.

Explore. Do Promyvion. Craft. There are lots of other things to do in FFXI, you'll just have to find them out for yourself.

i heard about Promivyon or whatever, what is it? is it part of CoP or somethin?

Its the first CoP mission that take places inside the crags of Dem, Mea, and Holla. Level 30 cap.

-Fishing 100
-All AFs and AF2s
-HNM Gear all of em
-Final Relic Gear(takes you a few years to get all of the upgrades)
-Get married
-All 3 nation Missions
-RoZ
-CoP
-Kill all HNM
-All Quests Completed
-Get the most gil of the server
-Get lots of friends
-Do unsurmountable feats soloing with different varied subjobs.
-Learn the game mechanics and dynamics like finding out damage formulas and stuff by testing them
-and others @_@

What i do is personally focus on the people you meet and the story. Thats all that needs to keep me playing.

what are Af's and Af2's i heard they were some kind of mission for your job or something like that.

AFs are special Artifact Armors for each job, its a JSE(Job specific armor). Think the White mage robe from FFV or the Red Mage FFV look..something like that. You get your first AFs from lvl 41 the weapon, then from 52-60 for your first complete set. The AF2 comes from Dynamis drops which is a super upgraded version of AFs.

Theres no need to do AFs, but its sorta a rite of passage and achievement to do so.

AF2 is AKA Relic Armor.

lol yeah it is AF2 is relic armor lol.Trust me your not gonna be able to do i all.This game cost money lol and some people end up having to suspend there account until they can get some stuff done.This can be stuff like moving ,going to college, jsut ton of events can happen.Some people forget to activate it again before three months have passed.

i know i wont finish it ALL. i just wanna do all my cities missions, RoZ and CoP missions and get my summoner to 75 and my white mage to 60, and get my cooking to like 50 or somethin. the married thing, and the craft thing, and AF's (maybe), im just gonna pass on those. for now at least, when there is more downtime, ill pick it up again. I'm hoping i get beat all of FFXI missons (not quests) before, XII comes out.

trust me, you won't skip on the AFs. at least not the first group of them. You will know why when the time comes.

Actually, Bard AF1 is level 40, so it's not all level 41 gear.

AFs are more rites of passage, some AFs are kept forever, however others are immediately replaced(like DRK or DRG) by other stuff like Scorp Harness, Harbuerk, or Thick Set of armors.

Alot of the AF Weapons suck ass....(AF1 set, not relic). ><;
