It's fun to do occasionally. Especially when someone keeps bugging you when you're im'ing.
It annoys me, yeah.
Mind you, loads of things annoy me at the moment.
l33t speak just makes me think the person is trying too hard to be cool and stuff.
Having said that, I have used it on occasion - thereby I am desperately wanting coolness.

I can't stand leet, the only time it's funny is when you're mocking someone who actually does speak it. For the record, I can type in leet, but I've never used it unless I'm making jokes about it.
I can stand it in mobile text when people are trying to save if moneys hard to come by but on the net it just annoys me and I think its totally unnecessary. OMFG DA WRRRD U AS T3 WHO-LLLL LETRRRS N IT!1!!

Once I banned someone from a chatroom. I had made him my kick bitch for using 1337 excessively, and was about to ban him when he started going into a rant about how his rights are being violated, and how he should be able to speak what he claimed was an actual language, rivalling French and Spanish. So I made fun of him and banned him.
This doesn't mean I hate 1337. I really don't like to have any opinion or feeling in regards to something so pointless. Besides, that guy was an idiot and it was fun kicking him.
1337 speak is the stuff the 12 year old gamers on xbox live.They put that crap in there names then they act all kewl and crap talking about halo 2.And how they suck at every other FPS except for Halo.I think little kids just want to sound kewl or 1337 as they put it.
