I'd like to note that having rikku use two light curtains to mix is a lot quicker than casting shellx3.

Mighty guard does the same thing, and since most of kimarhi's other overdrives are more or less. . . *stupid* use it on that? Better than yuna wasting three turns anyways.

    kimarhi's overdrives aren't that bad.

Yea like Silent_Ultima said, don't forget to use Haste on your characters. I trained myself until i got Hastega with Tidus, then i went up against that son of a b.... Seymour and i kiked his punk @$$ all da way to hell! (And yes, i do h8 dat arrogant punk Seymour if u were wondering ) Oh yes, i also had Yuna curing my character's health everytime Seymour did some major damage to me

I wouldn't use Sayen's idea if I were you, you would just be cheating yourself... Zanmato is unbalanced enough already without using the despicable tactic of resetting until the preferred attack is used.

I don't have Yogumby, anyway, so that won't be a problem.

Yea, using Yojimbo's Zanmato might take sum time seeing how u gotta be pretty luky to use it, but since u don't have him u won't really have that problem. I still say that using Hastega on ur characters is a good idea, but dat's just me.

i do agree that using Zanmato in FFX is kinda cheating u'r way through.. (prefer FFVIII's ODIN...) but i think the challenge there is to get the required gil and the luck for him to performed Zanmato... i've read sumwhere that certain enemy got higher resistance to Zanmato.. which means that Yojimbo won't be performing Zanmato easily.. i've been to that situation.. fighting the Master Toberry.. in fact rather than perform Zanmato.. he did the Wakizashi (is this spelled correctly?) 2 times in a row!!!

OMG! 2 times without doing Zanmato? That's AWFUL! (sorry, I was just kidding).
Actually... Yojimbo may use Zanmato on a Dark Aeon even if you just give him 10gil. It all depends on how much Yojimbo LOVE you!

Ahh you got stuck where I first got stuck playing FFX. Well, heres a tip, save gil and buy those anit-zombie items from Wantz and he can't kill you with Full-Life. Yep, yep. If you missed Wantz, then raise Tidus' Hp and Strength. Make sure you've got a weapon that has good Strength enhancements. Oh, and fill up overdrives for everyone and every Aeon. If you've got all your Aeons overdrives, use them all. You should be able to beat him.

no what i meant was.. i paid him 10k gil, he agrees and performed Wakizashi, then on his next turn, he did again Wakizashi... without me paying him.. i've replayed my game and just obtained him... went to pay him again 10k but he performed Wakizashi, 3 times in a row with having me to pay him!!

The secret to this fight....SILENCE. Seymour will become rather helpless if he is Silenced. When Mortiorchis does Lance of Atropy, Seymour won't be able to cast Full-Life. He won't be able to case Dispel-All and remove all the Protect/Shell/Haste on your party. He won't be able to cast Reflect. He won't be able to cast Flare. He won't be able to cast Curaga. So except for physical attack, Cross Cleave and Total Annihilation, he's pretty helpless.

So start the battle with Wakka doing Silence Attack (Silence Buster if you have it) and having someone with a Silencestrike weapon attack Seymour, it might take a few tries. When he is Silenced, start pummling him, he'll be pretty helpless. Try in the beginning to keep Yuna and Rikku (with Haste) in the front line, and switch out the other characters every turn so that everyone can have Protect and Shell so that no one is unprepared for Cross Cleave or Total Annihilation. Remember, Rikku can use Light and Lunar Curtains to cast Protect and Shell if you have them, and Rikku using the Use ability is faster than Yuna using white magic. You can also do Rikku's Mighty Wall or Kimarhi's Mighty Guard if you have their overdrives. When Cross Cleave happens, bring in Rikku and use an Al Bhed Potion (if you bought a Survior from Wantz, the Al Bhed Potion will do the same as a Mega-Potion). Keeping pummling Seymour, don't bother attacking the Mortiorchis, it's more or less a waste of time. When Mortiorchis charges for Total Annihilation, you can either Shield with an aeon, or you can have your three highest HP characters come out and start attacking, and they survive. After Total Annihilation, have someone use a Mega-Potion (again, if you bought the Surivior, Rikku can use a Mega-Potion for 4000 HP to everyone). You should have someone's overdrive charged by now, so do an overdrive that will cause at least 3500 damage to Seymour. Auron's Shooting Star, or any Aeon's overdrive should do the trick.
